WiN - Wireless Networks

WiN is an area of the Telecommunications and Multimedia Unit at INESC TEC (formerly INESC Porto).

At WiN we have a vision of self-manageable, context-aware wireless networks formed by increasingly smaller objects that communicate over the air, underwater, and underground. Our mission is to pursue this vision in cooperation with other INESC TEC research groups and partnering R&D institutions and companies.

To acomplish this mission our research is focused on the following major topics:

• routing
• cross-layer optimisation
• congestion control
• radio resource management
• network management
• network security
